Over the past 20 years, renowned illustrator John Burgoyne has produced more than 150 intricate, hand-drawn illustrations for Cook’s Illustrated magazine. Now, for the first time ever, America’s Test Kitchen is proud to partner with Mr. Burgoyne and offer a select number of fine art prints featuring this iconic artwork.

There are literally hundreds of deliciously edible tropical fruits. Many, such as rambutants and jackfruits originated in Southeast Asia, do not travel well, and have never been successfully grown in the American tropics. Those pictured here, however, are much more readily available in the United States. Many of them, including the glossy golden pepino, the oval guava, the large and familiar pineapple, the intensely floral passion fruit, and the delicately flavored cherimoya, originated in South America. The near-ubiquitous papaya, oddly enough, is actually of North American origin. Others, such as the flashy star-shaped carambola and a few of the many varieties of mango, can be grown in semitripical areas in the United States. Yet others, including the sweet-tart kiwano or horned melon of New Zealand, simply ship well.
